By Pat Berman, The State, Columbia, S.C. Mar. 2–Midlands TV viewers are getting more choices for local news in the coming months. –Fox affiliate WACH-57 will expand its 10 p.m. newscast to an hour this month and enter the morning-news fray later this spring.

MONTROSE The Montrose Public Lands Center invites the community to a “Meet your Public Lands Specialists,” from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 9 at the center located at 2465 S. Townsend Ave. Presentations by different agencies will be held throughout the day. Seating is limited to 40 attendees.

Family Friends program helps special-needs kids 
The Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey (EFNJ) will implement Family Friends, a service program established in 1984 by the National Council on the Aging (NCOA). The Family Friends program will supplement and expand the services of EFN’s former program known as Helping Hands.
